Walls Construction in association with MMD handed over the new Primary Care Centre (PCC) at Gurranabraher in Cork to the HSE on Easter weekend and the HSE are currently preparing the facility to receive patients.

The building was constructed on an area that was occupied by two former Orthopaedic Hospital blocks which were demolished to facilitate the construction of the Primary Care Centre.

The new state of the art three storey 6220 sqm building constructed is the first of its kind to be built in Ireland which will provide accommodation for both GP’s and HSE staff to work together as a team in one Primary Care setting to meet the health care needs of the Cork City North West locality.

The centre is a home of wide-range of services including GP’s, Public Health and Community Nursing, Eye Clinics, Physiotherapy, Immunisation and Psychology to name but a few.
