On the 26th September 2016 Minister for Health Simon Harris officially marked the commencement of St Marys Primary Care Centre in Cork with a tree planting ceremony. This three story 5700m² Primary Care Centre will be the largest Primary Care in the Country.  The Centre will be home to a range of services including: GPs, Public Health and Community Nursing, Home Support, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, along with Occupational Therapy, Dietician, Podiatry, Psychology, Counselling, Eye Clinic, Immunisation, Mental Health Teams and the Home-based Crisis Team, Community Workers and some other services (e.g. Warfarin screening, diabetic retinopathy screening). The project commenced on the 11th July this year and is due for completion on the 22nd December 2017.
