Walls Construction were appointed after a competitive process as the design and build contractor with the existing design team novated. The project is located on a green field site in IDA park at Navan. The development comprises a 2-storey corporate office with approximately 2,500m2 of floor space. The project has car parking and associated site works which include a freestanding ESB Substation / Switch room. The main building faces to the North East with a large plaza of granite leading the main building entrance.
The main feature of the building entrance is the “glazed drum” which is curved glass around a goalpost style curved entrance doorway. The reception is located in the drum with elegantly curved stainless steel stairs between both floors, these are finished in high gloss galaxy granite. There are 2 other receptions located on ether floor and these are fitted out with walnut paneling.
The internal offices are of contemporary design with many architectural features. All the joinery is natural walnut with a 10% sheen which is predominantly to the front of all office areas, in addition these are broken up by full height double glazed internal screens. The office is mostly open plan with a number of breakout areas vibrantly furnished to compliment their uses. There is also a state of the art Video conference board room which seats 28 and is connected to both a smart board and 5 foot conference screen.
