As part of our wider ESG strategy and commitment to enhancing biodiversity and increasing natural carbon capture, we continue to invest in the sustainable management of Gowlagh Forest, working alongside Green Belt Forestry & Ecosystem services to create lasting environmental benefits for future generations.
In this video, we take a closer look at our forest, sharing what we’ve learned and progress we’ve made to date, including:
📹 Wildlife trail cameras, providing valuable insights while capturing a variety of wildlife
💧 Pond micro habitat established which is beginning to flourish, with early observations showing increased insect and bird activity
🌲 Sustainable forest management with carefully planned harvesting of mature trees to create space for younger saplings, strengthening biodiversity and enhancing the forest’s long-term ability to capture carbon.
