Walls Construction was engaged as the design and build contractor to redevelop the 1960’s former Aer Lingus Head Office building at Dublin Airport. It was redeveloped to a Grade A specification as the flagship for a new generation of commercial facilities at the heart of the airport campus with LEED Platinum Certification and an A3 energy rating.
Works included the regeneration of the post-tensioned concrete frame which included façade removal, full strip out, a new triple-glazed façade, the installation of new mechanical and electrical services, full fit-out of common areas, lift cores and stairwells, roof and associated upgrading of perimeter site infrastructure and landscaping.
The six-story over basement building with a floor area of 8,300m2 (89,400sq ft) was renamed as One, Dublin Airport Central.
