The Morrison Hotel

The Morrison Hotel is an iconic urban hotel located in the centre of Dublin. It was originally built in 1998 and then extended in 2002. In 2012 it was acquired by new owners who decided to completely refurbish the internal finishes and re launch the Hotel under the Hilton Double Tree brand.

The project consisted of the complete strip out of the 142 bedrooms, all public corridors, restaurants, toilets & kitchens. It also included the upgrade of the existing reception and conference areas as well as all back of house areas. A full upgrade of all the existing services and joinery was carried out to comply with the building regulations; this involved installing over a hundred new fire dampers, a full new fire alarm system and emergency lighting and modifying every door in the building.

The project had two distinct phases; Preconstruction & Construction, both requiring perfect execution in order to achieve the programme.
