Westin Hotel
This project entails a complex mix of new and old in the form of modern concepts being aesthetically blended with the refurbishment of a listed building. The development accommodates a five-storey luxury hotel and a two-storey bank over a double basement with underground car park.
The 164 bedroom, five star hotel, was constructed in one of the City Centre’s best known listed buildings and the project involved the obligatory retention of façades and the complex construction of a double basement using a secant piling wall.
The completed Westin Hotel incorporates leisure facilities, dining rooms, bars, and a business centre with ten conference rooms. In addition, the listed Banking Hall at 5 College Green was faithfully restored as a Banqueting Hall to its 1863 condition.
