Brookfield Health Sciences

The school of Nursing, Medical Therapies and Crèche is located on College Road in Cork and is the site of the existing 19th century Brookfield House.

The complex was designed as a world class learning environment to provide a centralised teaching facility for the schools of medicine, nursing, and clinical therapies. A separate single storey over basement pavilion style crèche to the rear is set in its own micro landscape to provide a safe and secure environment for children.

Brookfield House was fully restored to its former glory including the refurbishment of all joinery, the replacement of the roof, the restoration of all internal lime plasterwork and the cleaning and repointing of all external brick work. The three schools are arranged around the restored Brookfield House which acts as a central hub for the entire project and retains it prominence in the development. All joint functions such as faculty offices and meeting rooms are located in at Brookfield House.
