This week we joined forces with Career L.E.A.P (Local Employment Action Partnership) to give back to the local community in East Wall. We provided Safepass and Manual Handling training to a local target group selected by Aimee Harding of Career L.E.A.P.
Career L.E.A.P. was initially run as 12 month pilot study in 2016 and was developed by a collaborative partnership of businesses, Community Groups and Trinity College Dublin to tackle youth unemployment for young people aged 18-24 in local communities in Dublin’s North East inner city. Following renowned success in 2016 the programme has received funding for another year. The training provided by Walls is part of a work readiness’ training programme in preparation for an intensive six week mentored programme due to start in early September. We’re delighted to announce that our Training Manager, Niamh Barry, will be joining the Career L.E.A.P. Steering Committee who will be driving this initiative. We’re looking forward to working with them in the future and giving back to the city.
A big thank you to our own Paddy Holmes and Alan Worrall for delivering the training.
