The Construction Federation of Ireland virtual awards ceremony for the 2021 Design Challenge, ‘A Home for Everyone’, took place on Friday the 30th April 2021. Aimed at senior cycle students, the competition was to design a home for everyone, with the winning team’s design being made into a three-dimensional model, allowing them to virtually walk through the house!
Massive congratulations to the overall winners – the students and teachers at Castleisland Community College. Their innovative project, “No Man is an Island”, looked at designing a sustainable solution to address the current Irish homeless crisis. Furthermore, it researched environmentally sustainable practices in constructing homes of the future.
