Graduate Development Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme provides participants with a broad range of skills and learning experiences, enabling them to develop at this key formative stage in their careers. We provide people focused interventions including training and mentoring, together with the resources to allow our graduates to grow their careers within the construction industry. Working in an encouraging environment, graduates learn directly from Walls personnel with multidisciplinary experience, as well as from collaborating with others on the programme.

Cathal Healy

Construction Director

A BE Civil graduate from NUI Galway, Cathal joined the company straight from college in 1995. Progressing through various site engineering roles, his exemplary performance and leadership ability led to his appointment as a Divisional Director, Construction in 2007 and Construction Director and a member of the Main Board in 2021.

Damian Giles

Operations Director, Surveying

Damian joined Walls in 2004 having worked as an Estimator with a Dublin based electrical solutions contractor. He has a BSc in Construction Economics and Management from TU Dublin and over the past 20 years his career has progressed into senior roles within our surveying and commercial departments, including his appointment as Operations Director, Surveying in 2021.

Louise Martin

Environmental & Sustainability Manager (ESG Lead)

Louise graduated with a BA Degree from NUI Galway and a MSc in Environmental, Health and Safety Management from Atlantic Technological University Sligo before joining Walls in 2006 as a HSE Coordinator. In 2021, she was promoted to the new position of Company Environmental & Sustainability Manager, and acts as the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) lead with responsibility for managing our companywide ESG goals and objectives.

Gary Bohan

Senior HSE Co-ordinator

Gary joined Walls as a Graduate EHS Advisor on completion of his BSc in Occupational Safety & Health Degree from Atlantic Technological University Sligo in 2017. Gary also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety in Construction in Trinity College Dublin in 2021, and his effective, pragmatic, and diligent leadership style, demonstrated on several major construction projects, led to his promotion as Senior HSE Coordinator in June 2022.
