Supporting Irish Athletes

At Walls Construction, we absolutely love our sport and pride ourselves on supporting Irish athletes at all levels to fully maximise their potential. From grassroots sport all the way to the very elite, we are one of the biggest supporters of Irish sport! We are delighted to announce our support for Kate O'Connor, Irish Heptathlete and Sarah Ennis, Irish Eventer.

Kate O'Connor

Kate is Ireland’s first heptathlete to compete at the Olympic Games, and only our second ever female multi-eventer after Margaret Murphy who competed in the pentathlon in 1972. Her big breakthrough was a European Junior (U20) silver in 2019 when she was still only 18 and became the first and only Irish woman to exceed 6000 points. She followed that with silver in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, was 13th on her World Championship debut in 2023.

Sarah Ennis

Sarah is an experienced Irish eventer and a member of Team Ireland’s high performance eventing squad. She competes in world class events at national and international level. Sarah is also an Olympian, having represented Ireland in the Tokyo Games in 2020. At the 2018 World Equestrian Games held in North Carolina, Sarah’s 5th place in the individual event was key to the Irish team winning the silver medal.

Competition at this top level requires extensive training, commitment, skill, sacrifice, and drive. Kate and Sarah possess these qualities in abundance and Walls is delighted to support them as they build on their achievements to date.

Director of Business Development & Marketing, Barry Hennessy says, “We are delighted to partner with Kate and Sarah, on what is shaping up to be a very exciting journey for both athletes".
