Walls Construction Limited held an internal virtual town hall meeting this week with over 300 of our staff participating.
The purpose of the meeting was to outline the details of our ESG (Environmental Social & Governance) roadmap. Our journey has already begun, under our 14001 certified environmental system, and we are already compliant where possible, but the strategic focus now on our ESG responsibilities will take centre stage.
The importance of us all playing our part cannot be underestimated. All businesses have an impact by their Environmental, Social and Governance behaviour, and we must be transparent about the impact we are having, measure it accurately, and take clear action to minimise that impact.
To ensure the implementation is followed through, we have formed a dedicated ESG Internal team to oversee the implementation of our roadmap.
