This year Walls were one of the many companies who contributed to the “Help fill a Tram” initiative. This heartwarming project took place on Thursday 8th December with Luas, the charity Inner City Helping Homeless, and Transdev collecting an overwhelming 9,000 shoe boxes filled with presents for the homeless in Dublin. This far exceeding the 3,000 collected last year and the goal of 5,000 for 2016. The shoe boxes are filled with essential toiletries and gifts for those living on our streets and are given directly to people on the streets at night time and in the numerous shelters across Dublin City. In addition to this 350 meals and 60 haircuts were also provided on the day to Dublin’s homeless.
A big thank you to our own Eoin Redmond, Alan McGrath and Shauna Cleere for bringing this initiative to the our attention and for all their work in organising the collection of 56 shoe boxes to this worthy cause.
