As the Central Bank project on Dublin’s East Wall Quay is nearing completion some works elements are coming into their final phase. The external glazed veil to the West elevation is almost complete with the East façade well under way. The system is a sophisticated glass skin which in turn is protected and shielded from glare and solar heat gain by an outer layer of anodized aluminium triangular mesh panels.
The Irish limestone floor finish on the Entrance Lobbies is also nearing completion and the open glazed Atrium, the heart of the building, is now cleared of temporary works allowing excellent levels of natural light into the internal walkways and collaboration spaces.
