Daughters of Charity Community Services
The recently published 2019 Audited Accounts and Impact Report of the Daughters of Charity on Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, referenced support they received last year from Walls. In addition to the local school which caters for at risk children between 11 and 16 years, the Daughters of Charity run a number of community based programmes, including the St. Vincent’s Community Training Centre, a Senior Citizens Centre, adult education services, meals on wheels, community outreach and local employment guidance and support services. Our focus was on the Early Years Care and Education programme, a pre-school intervention designed for children between 15 months and 4 years, to help develop their physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social skills through age appropriate play and activities. The Daughters of Charity has informed us that a new group of children started school this week, and Walls is delighted to be involved in some way in such a worthwhile endeavour.
