Friday 31st March was a special day in St. James’s Primary School, Basin Lane, Dublin 8 as it marked the opening of a new sensory cubbie catering for children with autism and other special needs attending school in St. James’s and living in the Dublin 8 community.
The sensory cubbie is a safe, comfortable, and adaptable space which reduces sensory overload and disruption and allows children to create their own individual profile to suit their needs and experiences.
It is the result of a tremendous fundraising effort by the staff and parents of St. James’s Primary School and Walls, and in particular our Grand Canal Harbour project team, were delighted to help.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives such as this, where our support goes directly to a service or equipment that directly benefits the end user, is immensely worthwhile and satisfying.
