As part of the Walls dedicated Training & Development company-wide programme, headed up by our Carolina Concialdi, the group pictured below recently completed an intensive three-day Appointed Person/Crane Supervisor course with Sam Evans of EPS PLANT & SAFETY LTD
The Appointed Person/Crane Supervisor is a crucial site function, being the individual responsible for the execution and safety of a lifting operation, and those selected for training should have a strong working knowledge of lifting operations and safe working.
The course itself is extensive, covering legislation and codes of practice, safe systems of work, crane types, structure and size, lift loads and load planning, terminology, and documentation.
Congratulations to all participants who passed the exams with high scores and were awarded their certificates.
Once again the importance of proper Training & Development for all our staff, especially when it comes to safety, cannot be underestimated.
