We are delighted to announce that two of our apprentice bricklayers, Gary Kett and Jack Grehan, came top of their class in their Phase Two ‘Off the Job’ training course, held towards the end of 2020 and early this year.
Gary’s results were achieved in the Waterford Training Centre, while Jack achieved the same standard in the Solas Training Centre in Limerick.
They were assessed against a number of technical skills including blockwork and cavity wall and chimney construction, orthographic and section drawing, in addition to a general progress report including practical and theory work, application and attendance. The fact that both Gary and Jack came top of their class in separate training centres is a tremendous achievement, bringing honour on themselves and their employment with Walls. The picture below was taken on our Cabra project last week. Sincere congratulations and well done!
