Walls Construction is delighted to announce its sponsorship for two outstanding Irish athletes, Kate O’Connor and Sarah Ennis.
Kate O’Connor is a rising Irish star in international athletics. After winning a silver medal in the heptathlon at the 2019 European Athletics Championships in Sweden, Kate announced her arrival at senior level by winning silver in the heptathlon at the Commonwealth Games in the UK last August. Next on Kate’s radar is the World Championships in Budapest this August, as she strives to establish herself in the top 10 of the AIIF world rankings and qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Sarah is an experienced Irish eventer and a member of Team Ireland’s high performance eventing squad. She competes in world class events at national and international level. Sarah is also an Olympian, having represented Ireland in the Tokyo Games in 2020. At the 2018 World Equestrian Games held in North Carolina, Sarah’s 5th place in the individual event was key to the Irish team winning the silver medal.
Competition at this top level requires extensive training, commitment, skill, sacrifice, and drive. Kate and Sarah possess these qualities in abundance and Walls is delighted to support them both as they build on their achievements to date.
