World Blood Donor Day was Thursday 14 June last and the Irish Blood Transfusion Service marked the day by recognising those donors who have achieved milestones in terms of the donation of blood or platelets.
Walls is proud to acknowledge that John Nolan, our Marketing & Business Development Manager, recently passed the 100 Platelet donations milestone and he is pictured having his achievement recognised at the IBTS award ceremony.
With only one week’s blood supply in storage at any time donation is very important and Walls supports the Blood Transfusion Service in its aim to increase the number of donors from its current level of 4% of the population.
