Google Docs & Gasworks
Google is one of Ireland’s largest technology employers and it has its EMEA headquarters located at Barrow Street in Dublin.
Walls Construction were initially appointed to refurbish and fit-out their offices in the Gasworks building. This was done on a phased basis while maintaining a live working building throughout. Once completed Walls then fitted out the newly purchased Montevetro building.
The Montevetro Building (now known as Google Docks) was originally completed to a shell and core standard and had a combined area of 25,451m2. This extensive fit out project was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Gold accreditation. The construction included 12 levels of office space, two levels of canteens, one gymnasium, recreational spaces, a 25m indoor swimming pool at ground level and a dramatic triple height reception area. The 3-storey basement was also fitted out with storage, welfare facilities and a CHP plant for the building.
