Walls Construction and Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) have formed a strategic partnership for the purposes of research, innovation, graduate employment and education. The agreement is an important component within DkIT’s Corporate Partnership Programme, which is led by the Regional Development Centre at DkIT and Walls is proud to be their first official partner from within the Built Environment sector. It will enable collaboration in many areas, including participation on academic-industry programme boards, practical initiatives to enable the application of new technologies in construction, student placement and graduate employment and other forms of sponsorship. The official announcement took place in DkIT on Thursday 20th February 2020 and was attended by Adrian Corcoran, Construction Director and Niamh Barry, Training & Development Manager with Walls Construction along with DkIT President, Michael Mulvey, PhD, Head of Business Development & Innovation at DKT, Aidan Browne and Head of School of Engineering at DkIT, Dr Tom Dooley.
